Bayern Munich vs Man Utd prediction

Man Utd have been one of the strongest teams defensively across the Champions League so far, but Bayern Munich made a statement by scoring three past them at Old Trafford. The strength-in-depth of Bayern’s squad proved critical with substitutes making a big impact, but a Maya Le Tissier penalty and Hanna Lundkvist’s header from a corner ensures that Marc Skinner’s side still stand a chance as the tie shifts to Munich.

However, it can’t be ignored how Bayern managed to overwhelm their opponents’ biggest asset and more chances should fall their way at home. Whilst Man Utd remain a very good team, they do appear to be a level behind the very biggest European clubs and Bayern are likely to prove that once again.

The visitors won’t be afraid to push bodies forward and attack heavily in a bid to turn this around. But this will only leave them more vulnerable defensively and backing Bayern to win another high-scoring game has to be favoured.

Bayern Munich vs Man Utd tip: Bayern Munich to win and over 2.5 goals
