Bayer Leverkusen come into this one on the back of a frustrating 2-2 draw at the Red Bull Arena against RB Leipzig at the weekend in yet another game in which Xabi Alonso’s side led by two goals before faltering. They were beaten 2-1 by Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano last week despite taking the lead in that match. Sparta Prague lost their manager Brian Priske last summer and the Czech champions have regressed this season, too, with a 1-0 defeat at home to Inter last week continuing their struggle in the UEFA Champions League as they sit third in the Czech First League. Despite their recent frustrations, Leverkusen are expected to win this one, especially at the BayArena.
