Barcelona vs Benfica prediction

Barcelona dropped their first points of the league phase on Matchday 4 when they drew 1-1 in their high-profile clash with Chelsea, but the Catalan giants are set to earn direct qualification to the quarter-finals given their impressive points tally so far.

Pere Romeu's side have added a further two wins to their impressive Liga F campaign since Matchday 4, and they now have their eyes set on topping the league phase table with just two fixtures remaining.

Benfica have struggled to get going in Europe and it would take something of a miracle for them to qualify for the knockout stage play-offs now. The Portuguese side, who sit on just one point in the league phase, most recently defeated Braga 3-2 in Liga BPI on Saturday.

Despite the significant loss of Aitana Bonmati to a long-term injury, Barcelona remain huge favourites here, and on home turf they can be expected to rack up a few goals.

Barcelona vs Benfica tip: Barcelona to score over 4.5 goals
