Barcelona vs Bayern Munich prediction

Such are the standards that this Barcelona team have set, finishing as runners up in the UEFA Women's Champions League last season is almost seen as a disappointment given that they had won the competition in three of the previous four seasons.

The Catalan giants have begun the current domestic campaign in typically dominant fashion, winning their first six contests and averaging over five goals scored per game.

That offensive prowess will surely test what has been a resolute Bayern rearguard so far this season, with the German side having kept clean sheets in all five of their league games so far.

Bayern reached the quarter-finals in Europe last season but were comfortably dispatched 6-1 on aggregate by Lyon.

Barcelona have triumphed in three of the four meetings between the two sides, but Bayern did win the most recent, with both Klara Buhl and Lea Schuller - both of whom are expected to start on Tuesday - on target in a 3-1 win for the Bavarians in the 2022-23 group stage.

This is very much a battle of attack against defence but we expect this hugely talented Barcelona side make the breakthrough on home turf.

Barcelona vs Bayern Munich tip: Double result – Barcelona / Barcelona
