Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid prediction

Atletico Madrid have put in some of the best individual performances of the season this year and they again did so in the first-leg of this Copa del Rey semi-final tie as they hammered Barcelona by four goals to nil with four goals in the first-half, courtesy of strikes from a Antoine Griezmann, Ademola Lookman and Julian Alvarez, as well as an Eric Garcia own goal with the centre-back now missing through suspension, too.

Lamine Yamal was magnificent as he scored his first career hat-trick at the weekend in a 4-1 demolition of Villarreal, and he will be needed to be at his absolute best, while Atleti edged past relegation-bound Real Oviedo by a goal to nil in Asturias.

Atletico don’t have that level of solidity from the past and Barca will likely score at least twice but, such is the power that the visitors have themselves, Los Rojiblancos should still progress with at least one goal enough to surely see the Blaugrana off at Camp Nou.

Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid tip: Barcelona to win & both teams to score
