Bahrain vs Saudi Arabia prediction

Bahrain come into this one on the back of a slender 1-0 defeat to Indonesia during the March international with Oxford United’s record signing Ole Romeny scoring the only goal of the game for the Indonesians. They begin the ninth match day of the campaign sitting a place but three points behind Indonesia.

They now face a Saudi Arabia side that sacked Roberto Mancini late last year and he was replaced by former boss Herve Renard, who had been in charge of the France women’s team. The Saudi Arabians come into this one on the back of a comfortable and much-improved performance as they defeated Jordan by two goals to nil in a friendly the other day.

Bahrain have not been good in this third round campaign but they have a chance of a top four finish, though the Saudis remain favourites for what should be a low-scoring encounter.
