Austria vs Japan prediction

It’s now 14 goals and four clean sheets for Austria across this World Cup, which has seen them win all five matches they have played. Clearly, they have all the tools both offensively and defensively to go all the way but they’ll need to conjure up their best once again here, with Japan an extremely dangerous opponent who also won their group and are currently unbeaten across the tournament.

This is very much unlikely to prove the blowout that Austria enjoyed against England, but it’s that extra attacking quality that may well prove the difference. Japan boasts an immense level of skill and high fitness levels that will keep them in the game, but backing Austria has to be favoured.
