Australia vs Samoa prediction

Ranked sixth in the world, Australia are one of the nations hoping to challenge the top teams as they seek a first ever Women’s World Cup title, and they have been drawn alongside hosts England, USA and Saturday’s opponents Samoa in Pool A.

Standout winger Desiree Miller, who scored four tries against Fiji in a warm-up contest last month, is one to watch for the Wallaroos, who also faced Wales twice recently, losing the first before winning the most recent encounter

Samoa will be up against it in a difficult section but head coach Mataafa Ramsey has stated that her team are capable of winning this opener, in what is their first appearance in the World Cup since 2014.

The Aussies should have too much class though. They have played together with far more regularity and that unity should carry them to a comfortable win in Manchester.
