Augsburg preview: Munich miracle
No one gave Augsburg a chance at the Allianz Arena last Saturday as Manuel Baum’s side faced off against the runaway Bundesliga leaders who had won 16 and draw two of their 18 league games this season, racking up a mammoth 71 goals at the time. But Augsburg hung in there, never gave up and were rewarded in stunning fashion come the second half. Baum’s men stunned the hosts with two goals in six minutes and following an avalanche of pressure from Vincent Kompany’s side, who struck the woodwork late on, Augsburg survived to clinch a famous victory.

Augsburg vs St. Pauli prediction
Both these two teams will have taken massive confidence from their respective most recent results in the Bundesliga. To have beaten Bayern Munich is a massive achievement for Augsburg and when taking into account St. Pauli’s struggles this season, to come away with a point against RB Leipzig is no mean feat.
That should lead into an entertaining battle when taking into account the momentum of both sides and that the fact that they’ll each see this is an eminently winnable fixture. Expect action at both ends of the pitch and backing both teams to score for the fourth consecutive Augsburg fixture warrants serious consideration.
