Atletico Nacional come into this one on the back of a comfortable 3-0 hammering of Alianza Lima in the Colombian Categoria Primera A Clausura at the weekend. They are now unbeaten in their last five matches across all competitions as they sit second in the table behind Atletico Junior domestically.
They now face a Sao Paulo side that, under the management of former Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo, most recently defeated Vitoria by two goals to nil in the Brazilian Serie A at the weekend. They finished top of Group D with four victories and two draws in their six matches, finishing above Paraguayan side Libertad.
Atletico Nacional have stumbled upon some improved form of late, but Sao Paulo have to be seen as favourites for both legs of this tie in the Libertadores round of 16.
