Atletico Madrid vs Man Utd prediction

Atletico Madrid made a stunning group stage/league phase debut last week when they stunned St. Polten 0-6 in Austria, scoring four goals in the first half before Fiamma Benitez added a further two late on.

The Spanish side then suffered a defeat by the same scoreline in Liga F though, with domestic champions Barcelona hitting them for six on Sunday.

Also making their debut in either the group stage or league phase of the UEFA Women's Champions League, Man Utd recorded a 1-0 victory at home to Valerenga last Wednesday, although the scoreline could have been a lot more comfortable had they not wasted several good opportunities in front of goal.

This is the first ever meeting between the two sides, and also the first time Man Utd have faced Spanish opposition. It's a tough one to call with the two sides looking fairly evenly-matched on paper, but with home advantage, we're edging towards Atletico here, who were more ruthless in the final third on Matchday 1.
