Atletico Madrid vs Espanyol prediction

Atletico have put in some stunning performance this season, recently their 4-0 win over Barcelona a standout. However, 1 point from three La Liga games and a 3-3 draw with Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League in midweek has again put pressure back on Los Rojiblancos.

Espanyol had been brilliant in the first-half of the campaign but the Catalans' new ownership didn't capitalise in the winter transfer window and they are now drifting away from European contention, despite remaining inside the top six ahead of this match day.

The visitors are now winless in their last seven matches and, despite their own deficiencies, Diego Simeone's side remain generally strong at home and should be favoured at the Metropolitano.
