Atlanta United sit rock-bottom in the Eastern Conference with just three victories in their 18 matches so far this season. The Georgians come into this one on the back of a 3-2 loss to fellow strugglers the Philadelphia Union in their most recent outing.
The New York Red Bulls have also underperformed their pre-season expectations but they remain in the top nine and the play-off qualifying spots. NYRB entertainingly defeated Orlando City by three goals to two a couple of weeks ago in their last game.
NYRB will head down to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium still as firm favourites but it may be a fun watch for the neutral given both teams’ recent outings.
