Atalanta preview: Frustrating to watch
Following the departure of Gian Piero Gasperini over the summer, Atalanta brought in former Southampton manager Ivan Juric and the Bergamasci have been very underwhelming thus far with two wins in their opening eight matches.
They have been held to six draws in those eight games with a 1-1 draw with Cremonese the other day, in which Marco Brescianini cancelled out a Jamie Vardy opener, making it four draws in a row for the home team.
AC Milan preview: Stuttering Rossoneri
As a result of the appointment of the returning Massimiliano Allegri over the summer, AC Milan have been much-improved this time around as they try and reclaim the Italian title, with the Rossoneri having started the season well.
Capable of extending their lead at the top-of-the-table the other day, though, Milan were held to a 2-2 draw against newly-promoted and still winless Pisa in which they needed to score a second-half stoppage-time equaliser via Zachary Athekame.
Atalanta team news: Defensive injuries
Atalanta are dealing with a few defensive injuries for this one as injury prone Giorgio Scalvini is sidelined alongside full-back duo Sead Kolasinac and Mitchel Bakker.
Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Carnesecchi; Djimsiti, Hien, De Roon; Bellanova, Ederson, Pasalic, Zalewski; De Ketelaere, Lookman; Krstovic
Unavailable: Scalvini (Injured), Kolasinac (Injured), Bakker (Injured)

AC Milan team news: Couple of doubts
Milan head to Bergamo with a couple of pre-existing doubts such as Pervis Estupinan and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, whilst key midfielders Adrien Rabiot and Ardon Jashari are sidelined alongside Christian Pulisic.
Predicted XI (3-5-2): Maignan; De Winter, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Ricci, Modric, Bartesaghi; Santiago Gimenez, Leao
Unavailable: Rabiot (Injured), Jashari (Injured), Pulisic (Injured)
Questionable: Pervis Estupinan (Injured), Loftus-Cheek (Injured)
Atalanta vs AC Milan prediction
As was the case at Torino and then again in a humiliating stint in charge of Southampton, Ivan Juric was often criticised for being far too reactive and defensive in his tactical approach. The Bergamasci now take on an AC Milan side that are playing in the archetypal manner of Allegri with a safety first approach that has led to an improvement in terms of results but matches can often be tedious so a low-scoring affair seems likely at the Gewiss Stadium.
