Aston Villa vs Brighton prediction

Unai Emery and his Aston Villa side were denied three points away at AFC Bournemouth at the weekend in a 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium down on the south coast. The Villans have now managed just one win in their last five matches in the Premier League, closing the gap between themselves and those chasing a top four or five spot.

They face a Brighton and Hove Albion side that may well be coming to the end of an era as there is pressure mounting on manager Fabian Hurzeler. The Seagulls boss hasn’t been well liked by Brighton supporters for a while and that has only been made worse by a 1-0 loss at home to arch-rivals Crystal Palace at the weekend.

That defeat to Palace has extended Brighton’s winless run of form to five matches in the league and Villa should ensure that is six in a row without a win for the visitors.
