Arsenal vs Twente prediction

It's been a rocky start to Arsenal's defence of the UEFA Women's Champions League but an Alessia Russo double gave them a much-needed three points in a 2-1 win against Real Madrid last time out.

The Gunners, who defeated Liverpool 2-1 in the Women's Super League on Saturday, still have plenty of work to do though, and nothing less than a win will do here as they chase one of the automatic qualification spots for the quarter-finals.

Twente are still winless in the league phase, with their Matchday 4 fixture seeing them lose 0-4 at home to Atletico Madrid. They have at least taken a point off an English team this season though, when they drew 1-1 at home to Chelsea in their league phase opener.

The Dutch side are second in the Vrouwen Eredivisie table, behind only Ajax on goals scored, but they not not been in action since a 1-3 victory at Excelsior on 23 November.

Arsenal have suffered some slip-ups in Europe, but they have the bit between their teeth now and their class should tell against Twente. The visitors have had their moments this season, but the Gunners look capable of racking up a few goals on home turf.
