Arsenal vs OL Lyonnes prediction

Reigning champions Arsenal kick off the defence of their European campaign in an eye-catching Matchday 1 fixture against Lyon, although Renee Slegers' side do come into this opener having failed to win any of their last three Super League games.

Claiming their second ever European crown by beating the heavily-fancied Barcelona in last season's final in Lisbon, Arsenal actually defeated Lyon in the semi-finals of that competition, 5-2 on aggregate.

Lyon, eight-time winners and 11-time finalists, are sure be one of the main protagonists in the competition again this season. They have begun their domestic season with four straight wins and an impressive 14 goals scored in their last two victories.

Lyon will be keen for revenge here after last season's semi-final defeat, and given the fact they have made a more encouraging start to the season than their hosts, they could be worth looking at in the draw no bet market.
