Reigning champions Arsenal return to Premier League action with the visit of unbeaten Leeds United to the Emirates Stadium after the prolonged international break.

Arsenal preview: Need to respond

Mikel Arteta is attempting to evolve his style of football with Arsenal as they try to win the league title as well as other silverware this season and they began exceptionally well with seven victories across all competitions.

However, The Gunners instead headed into the international break on the back of a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion; blown away by goals scored by Pascal Gross, Charalampos Kostoulas and Chema Andres.

Leeds preview: Unbeaten Leeds

Having comfortably survived in the Premier League last season with Daniel Farke becoming more pragmatic, Leeds United have started this season well, too, with the goal of pushing towards the top half and even the European spots.

The Yorkshire giants have won two and drawn three of their opening five games in the Premier League this season, most recently being held to a goalless draw by Crystal Palace at Elland Road a few weeks ago.

Arsenal team news: Tzolis likely to be out

Christos Tzolis was forced off in a 2-2 draw with the Netherlands for Greece during the international break and he is expected to be sidelined upon his Premier League return.

Kai Havertz also sustained an injury for Germany, while England internationals Ben White and Declan Rice missed the break entirely due to their own injuries.

Further details will appear here following pre-match press conferences…

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Raya; Timber, Konsa, Gabriel, Calafiori; Rice, Guimaraes; Saka, Odegaard, Eze; Havertz

Unavailable: Saliba (Injured), Tzolis (Injured)

Questionable: Mosquera (Injured), White (Injured), Rice (Injured), Havertz (Injured)

Leeds team news: Wilson could return

Harry Wilson missed Leeds’ final game before the international break against Palace and then missed international duty for Wales but he could be available for this one.

His international teammate Joe Rodon remains sidelined alongside academy graduate Mateo Joseph, who sustained an ACL injury over the summer.

Further details will appear here following pre-match press conferences…

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Trafford; Justin, Elvedi, Muharemovic; Bogle, Tanaka, Ampadu, Stach, Gudmundsson; Okafor, Calvert-Lewin

Unavailable: Rodon (Injured), Joseph (Injured)

Questionable: Wilson (Injured)

Arsenal vs Leeds prediction

Arsenal looked as though they were gearing up for a potentially dominant campaign with their ominous start to the season but they were a shadow of their best selves in defeat to Brighton at the AMEX Stadium. Leeds will seek to be awkward and obdurate opponents to play against at the Emirates and they have been difficult to beat for close to a year now – albeit they lost 5-0 and 4-0 to The Gunners last season and another Arsenal victory is to be expected in North London.

Arsenal vs Leeds tip: Arsenal to win
