Arsenal vs Crystal Palace prediction

Arsenal come into this tie on the back of three consecutive victories in all competitions leading up to the Christmas period. Their defensive stability has shone through across those games with clean sheets in two of them. But for Crystal Palace it’s been a different story with two defeats and a draw including a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Leeds Utd most recently.

It feels like the sheer volume of fixtures in a short period of time has finally caught up with Oliver Glasner’s threadbare squad and the Eagles’ backline has shipped nine goals over the course of those three matches.

The line-ups remain to be seen but the likelihood is that we see mass rotation on both sides with a full slate of Premier League action to played on the weekend straight after Christmas. This should work in Arsenal’s favour as the Gunners boast substantial strength-in-depth and will still be able to field a strong XI. With home advantage also in their favour, back Arsenal to win in 90 minutes and set up a clash with Chelsea in the last four.

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace tip: Arsenal to win
