Argentina vs Mexico prediction

Argentina are continuing to show why they are the gold standard in this tournament and come into the knockout stage on the back of a 100% record. They’re scoring goals with regularity and since their opening game against Belgium, have kept consecutive clean sheets. Getting past them is going to prove an incredibly difficult challenge.

Mexico will need to try and take the game to Argentina, knowing that if they sit back for the whole game then it will likely just be a matter of time before they are defensively overwhelmed. But over the course of 90 minutes, Argentina and their outstanding squad should prove too strong and triumph in this one.
