Angers find themselves tucked in the middle-of-the-table as the hosts welcome a European chasing Toulouse side to Stade Raymond Kopa this weekend.

Angers preview: Mid-table Angers

Angers head into this one on the back of a slender 1-0 defeat of rock-bottom Metz at Stade Raymond Kopa the other day, courtesy of an early Louis Mouton winner after former Everton man Jean-Philippe Gbamin had been sent off for the visitors.

The hosts sit firmly in the middle-of-the-table in Ligue 1 after following a similar pattern of last season, following their promotion the year before, of starting slowly before eventually easing themselves comfortably away from the danger zone.

Toulouse preview: Push for Europe

Under the management of Spanish coach Carlos Martinez Novell, Toulouse play some of the more entertaining football in France and they are targeting a top seven or eight finish this time around and potential European qualification from Ligue 1.

Their good form continued into midweek, too, as they defeated Amiens by a goal to nil in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France, courtesy of a 39th minute winner scored by Yann Gboho.

Angers team news: Fully fit

Angers have a fully fit and available squad for this weekend's visit of Toulouse and so they are able to name an unchanged eleven for this one if they so choose.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Koffi; Arcus, Camara, Lefort, Ekomie; Belkhdim, Belkelba; Mouton, Van den Boomen, Sbai; Peter

Unavailable:

Questionable:

Toulouse team news: Couple of doubts

Toulouse have a couple of doubts ahead of this weekend’s visit to Angers as defender Dayann Methalie is potentially unavailable alongside Cameroon international striker Frank Magri.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Restes; McKenzie, Cresswell, Nicolaisen; Sidibe, Cristian Casseres Jr, Diop, Donnum; Santiago Hidalgo, Gboho; Emersonn

Unavailable: Francis (Injured), Azizi (Injured)

Questionable: Methalie (Injured), Magri (Injured)

Angers vs Toulouse prediction

With quite a low-scoring style of football, Angers have been able to push themselves up the table with a very solid and defensive record. The hosts welcome a very entertaining Toulouse side. Toulouse play a more proactive style under Carlos Martinez Novell. In the battle in a clash of styles, Angers would have to be slight favourites because they are likely to be more resolute against often fallible and inconsistent opponents.

Angers vs Toulouse tip: Double chance – Angers to win or draw
