Anderlecht vs Sheriff prediction

Anderlecht come into this one on the back of a comfortable 2-0 victory at the Janbreydelstadion at the weekend to continue their impressive start to the 2025/26 Belgian Jupiler Pro League campaign. They were knocked out of the UEFA Europa League last week, beaten by Hacken on penalties in Sweden.

Sheriff Tiraspol went through the Moldovan top-flight unbeaten last season but somehow finished second. After defeating Prishtina by five goals to two on aggregate in the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round last month, they then suffered a 7-2 aggregate loss to Eredivisie outfit Utrecht.

Sheriff will believe they can play on the front foot and with an attacking intensity, but Anderlecht have to remain favourites for this first-leg in Belgium this week.
