Algeria have already wrapped up qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup as they now seek to finish their campaign with a flourish against Uganda this week.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – Not televised

How to watch online: UK – FIFA+ / US – FIFA+

Key Stats

  • Algeria have won the last five international matches between these teams.
  • Algeria have lost only two of their last 18 World Cup qualifying matches (W13 D3). They are unbeaten in the six most recent with five wins and one draw.
  • Mohamed Amoura has scored eight goals in Algeria’s last five World Cup qualifying matches.
  • Uganda have won their last four World Cup qualifying matches without conceding a goal. This is their longest sequence of successive wins in FWCQ history.

Algeria vs Uganda Prediction

Algeria come into this one on the back of a comfortable 3-0 defeat of Somalia at the Miloud Hadefi Stadium last week, courtesy of a strike from Riyad Mahrez as well as a brace scored by Wolfsburg striker Mohamed Amoura. The Algerian B team has also beaten Palestine in a couple of friendlies during this October international break.

They now face a Uganda side that have been competitive in this campaign and are looking to wrap up runner up spot in Group G in order to get into the CAF playoffs. They took a massive step towards that the other day as they defeated Botswana by a goal to nil to make it four successive victories in qualifying.

Uganda will have the higher levels of motivation for this one and they could therefore prove to be difficult opposition for an already qualified Algeria side in Algiers.

Algeria vs Uganda Tip: Double chance – Uganda to win or draw & under 3.5 goals
