Following their promotion to the Saudi Arabian top-flight in the 2023/24 campaign, Al Qadsiah finished in the top four last season and they have once again started well this time around. They most recently defeated newly-promoted but high-flying Neom by three goals to one in their most recent outing last weekend.

They now face an Al Okhdood side that have suffered five defeats from five to kick off the 2025/26 Saudi Pro League season. The visitors most recently suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Al Hazem last weekend at the Prince Hathloul bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium.
