THE PREDICTION
Western Bulldogs spent the majority of the season in the top four but
their poor end to the regular campaign saw them end in fifth spot and
they could live to regret that. They lost their final three matches, the
latest against Port Adelaide which means they must now attempt to win
the Premiership the hard way. They take on an Essendon side with three
straight wins to their name as they secured their spot in the finals
with a big win over Collingwood and they will be full of confidence
here. However, the Bulldogs have won six of the last seven meetings
between the pair and despite the Bombers winning the most recent of
those earlier in the month, Essendon look set to fall short in this one.
