AC Milan preview: Rossoneri push for the title
Following the return of Massimiliano Allegri over the summer, AC Milan are beginning this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting at the top-of-the-table after an unbeaten run of form since losing to Cremonese at San Siro on the opening day of the season.
The Rossoneri returned from the October international break with a 2-1 victory over Fiorentina at the Giuseppe Meeazza last weekend, courtesy of a brilliant brace scored by Portugal international attacker Rafael Leao.
Pisa preview: Tough for Pisa
Having gained promotion to Serie A last season, Pisa took the decision to appoint former Genoa boss Alberto Gilardino but the pressure is perhaps on the former Italy international striker after a poor start to the top-flight.
In their opening seven matches thus far, Pisa are winless with just three draws and four defeats. Their most recent outing saw them share a goalless draw with fellow strugglers Hellas Verona at Arena Garibaldi last weekend.
AC Milan team news: Several issues
Both Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christopher Nkunku have sustained injuries and so they are doubts for this one, with other key men such as Adrien Rabiot and Christian Pulisic confirmed absentees.
Predicted XI (3-5-1-1): Maignan; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Athekame, Ricci, Modric, Fofana, Bartesaghi; Saelemaekers; Leao

Pisa team news: A few issues
As they travel to Milan this weekend, Pisa are dealing with a few key absentees as defensive duo Mateus Lusuardi and Tomas Esteves are sidelined alongside former Netherlands youth international Calvin Stengs.

AC Milan vs Pisa prediction
Typical of the ‘win at all costs’ mentality of Allegri, AC Milan are playing a style of football whereby simply winning games is all that matters with no discernible style of football but the ability to control and then exploit their opposition. Pisa don’t need too much controlling with the visitors lacking quality and having scored just three goals in their seven matches thus far and Milan would have to be viewed as firm favourites for this one.
