AC Milan vs Inter Milan Prediction

AC Milan have had the better of the derby this season, defeating Inter from behind to win the Supercoppa Italiana in Saudi Arabia in Sergio Conceicao’s second game in charge in early January but the Rossoneri have remained poor since Conceicao’s arrival as they hover just outside of the top seven or eight and the European spots in Serie A.

They face an Inter side that are chasing the treble this season with Simone Inzaghi’s side gearing up for a UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich soon. They remain at the top-of-the-table in Serie A as they seek to defend the Scudetto, edging past Udinese by two goals to one at San Siro at the weekend.

Milan have had some good results against Inter this season but, stripping it back from the emotion and the narrative, Inter are simply a better side and should take a first-leg advantage.
