New Zealand showed their class in the first test between these two nations, winning by nine wickets. Their bowlers proved too strong for Zimbabwe, dismissing them for under 200 on two occasions, whilst the Black Caps batting racked up 307 in their first innings. Matt Henry is a brilliant pace bowler and Zimbabwe’s batters couldn’t handle him, Henry ending the first Test with nine wickets whilst Mitchell Santner’s spin was also effective as the game went on.

There’s little reason to believe that things will be much different in the second Test. New Zealand are better from a batting and bowling point of view and regardless of conditions, should be able to take control of proceedings very early on. Expect another win and a sweep for Santner’s men.
