WHO ARE THE LEADING MEDAL CONTENDERS?

The men’s Synchronised 10m Platform event was won by Great Britain with Tom Daley and Matty Lee taking the gold medal. Of the seven events in the Diving completed so far at Tokyo 2020, that event was the only one not won by China.

Daley will, as a consequence, come in as an individual medal contender but it remains unlikely that they will be able to steal the gold and silver medals away from the Chinese athletes once again. Yang Jian and Cao Yuan remain the favourites for this event with Aleksandr Bondar of the Russian Olympic Committee trying to get on the podium.

TSZ’S PREDICTION

Yang Jian is the Chinese diver that is expected to take gold. He has finished first in the Men’s 10m Platform dive in eight world series and grand prix events, finishing second on three occasions as well.

TSZ Tip: YANG JIAN (China) TO WIN
