THE PREDICTION

23-year-old Sebastian Baez made it seven wins on the spin with a straight-sets victory over Jaume Munar on Friday and he looks the solid favourite to win back-to-back titles this weekend after victory in Rio on Sunday. The Argentine is the highest remaining seed in the draw after defending champion Nicolas Jarry was upset by Corentin Moutet and he has form for stitching title-winning campaigns together after winning Kitzbuhel and Winston-Salem back-to-back last summer. World number 101 Pedro Martinez blew the draw even further open with an impressive three-set victory over third seed Arthur Fils, backing up another shock win over Buenos Aires champion Facundo Diaz Acosta. The Spaniard came back from a set down to beat Baez to the Chile Open title here two years ago and he grabbed a similar result against the Argentine in early 2023 to lead their tour-level head-to-head 2-0. However, Baez has earned four ATP title since their last encounter in Pune to look ready for revenge on a potent winning streak.

TIP: SEBASTIAN BAEZ TO WIN
