THE PREDICTION

Evergreen Italian Andreas Seppi set a career-high ATP world ranking of 18th back in 2013 after winning two of his three ATP titles the previous year. The 37-year-old owns that rare collection of a title on each of the three main surfaces, hard, clay and grass, and he has also performed well at all four Grand Slams over the years. Seppi will face 26-year-old Kamil Majchrzak for a second time after beating the Pole at the Antalya Open back in 2017 but Majchrzak looks to be something of a late bloomer after his excellent ATP Cup campaign. The world number 107 won all three of his singles matches in straight sets at the start of the year to take a decent streak into this tough match to call. Seppi is always capable of surprise wins, especially over five sets, so take Majchrzak to win at least two here as the likelier of two capable winners.
