THE PREDICTION

Former world number three Grigor Dimitrov moved back up to 13th after finally breaking his six-year title drought with victory at the Brisbane 500 in January, claiming his eighth career trophy and a first since his most prestigious at the 2017 ATP Finals. The 32-year-old has enjoyed a new lease of life under new joint-coach Jamie Delgado since last summer but he has not played since a semi-final defeat to Alex de Minaur at the Rotterdam Open three weeks ago to suggest there could be some fitness concerns. World number 88 Alexandre Muller beat fellow Frenchman Hugo Grenier in straight sets on Thursday to put some recent poor form behind him but this first meeting with Dimitrov looks far too steep of a step-up in quality. The Bulgarian has impressed in recent editions at Indian Wells to suggest he could thrive with his renewed vigour but the sensible concession for this opener is an outright win until we see his level.

TIP: GRIGOR DIMITROV TO WIN
