THE PREDICTION
24-year-old Fabian Marozsan will break inside the top 50 on tour for the first time in his career after an impressive straight-sets victory over Alexei Popyrin, backing-up a big upset over world number seven Holger Rune. The Hungarian burst onto the scene with a similar upset over then world number one Carlos Alcaraz at the Rome Masters last May but he has proved himself a serious up-and-comer since, enjoying deep runs at Masters events this month as well as last October in Shanghai, where he stunned Alex de Minaur in straight sets.
World number 10 De Minaur should be able to level things here after an impressive straight-sets win over Jan-Lennard Struff but he will do well not to underestimate his opponent again, with Marozsan yet to drop a set this campaign. De Minaur beat Stefanos Tsitsipas, Jack Draper and Casper Ruud in defence of his Mexican Open title earlier this month and it took world number six Alexander Zverev to oust him in three sets at Indian Wells last time out. Back the in-form Aussie to edge through to the last eight.
TIP: ALEX DE MINAUR TO WIN
