It’s early to be calling any league stage games as “must win” at this point in time. But this one really does feel like an important one for both Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers. Neither have gotten on the board yet this campaign, with the Thunder losing by four wickets to Hobart Hurricanes and the Sixers suffering consecutive defeats against Perth Scorchers and Adelaide Strikers respectively.

For the Sixers especially, things must improve quickly. They are a far better team than their results suggest with a vastly experienced squad.
