England levelled the series between them and Sri Lanka in another spin-heavy second ODI, setting up this decider.

Date/time:

Venue: R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, Sri Lanka

Weather: Cloudy with sunny intervals and a chance of thundery showers later in the day as evening sets.

How to watch: UK – TNT Sports / USA – Willow TV

Sri Lanka vs England prediction

As expected, the pitch in Colombo for the second ODI proved be another surface favourable to spin, which made up the vast majority of the bowling. England’s Joe Root, one of the best players of spin in the world was key in the tourists’ successful run chase but their players were unimpressed with the pitch, captain Harry Brook being particularly scathing.

However, it’s unlikely that we’ll see a change in the final ODI with it taking place on the same ground. That means once again we should see spin-bowlers benefitting with numerous wickets. Experienced Sri Lankan leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay has taken two wickets in each the last two ODIs and backing him to do the same again in this rubber match is a move well worth making

Sri Lanka vs England tip: Jeffrey Vandersay to take 2+ wickets
