Venue: R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, Sri Lanka

Weather: Cloudy with sunny intervals and a chance of thundery showers later in the day as evening sets.

How to watch: UK – TNT Sports / USA – Willow TV

Sri Lanka vs England prediction

England may have taken the first ODI to the final over whilst chasing 272 to win, but they ended up too far behind the hosts on net-run-rate and were bowled out for 252, extending their recent miserable run of results. Many of their players struggled with the spin generated by the Sri Lanka bowlers, who demonstrated their quality in these kinds of conditions.

One player who can hold their head high for England is Adil Rashid. A spinner of his class was always likely to enjoy himself bowling on the Colombo surface and the same should apply for this second ODI. On the back of three wickets on Thursday for Harry Brook’s men, it’s worth backing Rashid to be the key piece of England’s bowling attack again in this match, so back him to gain at least another two wickets or more.

Sri Lanka vs England tip: Adil Rashid to take over 1.5 match wickets
