West Indies were second best against Afghanistan in their three-game series earlier this month in the UAE. When taking that into account, the likelihood is that the Windies are in store for further struggles against South Africa, especially when considering the quality of opposition that they will be up against.

Although there is the risk that it takes time for this Proteas side to click as a collective unit when factoring in how long it’s been since they competed together as a group. But the fact that they are at home and coming off the back of an extended domestic T20 competition (SA20) should help and it’s still worth backing them here.
