THE PREDICTION

Newcastle Falcons were shut-out for 31 points away at the insatiable Leicester Tigers last Sunday in a fairly dismal showing. They have failed to win any of their last three Premiership matches played since a stunning 14-15 smash and grab at Exeter back in November, with a default win over a covid-hit Sale two weeks ago the only consolation. Travelling Northampton Saints will be hoping to find their hosts’ confidence shot after a 6-30 loss at home to Saracens became their fourth-straight defeat across all competitions. However, the quality of opponents they have faced in recent games has been extreme. This looks like one of the many tight calls this week in the Premiership, with an accumulator inadvisable, but taking the Saints to snap their losing run with a +3 concession seems a reasonable option here.
