THE TEAM NEWS

MELBOURNE STORM

  • Melbourne Storm were extremely impressive defensively as they nilled reigning premiers Penrith Panthers to claim the win in Round 1 last week.

NEW ZEALAND WARRIORS

  • New Zealand Warriors underwhelmed in their clash with Cronulla Sharks last week and suffered a disappointing loss as a result with the Kiwi outfit needing to be much better if they are to get off the mark for the campaign.
  • The Warriors have been handed a boost with Kurt Capewell managing to prove his fitness after copping a rib cartilage problem last week while Wayde Egan is also expected to be fine.

THE PREDICTION

Melbourne Storm looked superb last week as they defended brilliantly to keep defending premiers Penrith Panthers scoreless. The Storm only amassed eight points of their own but it was enough to get the job done and they will look to show their attacking quality here. New Zealand Warriors arrive here with a point to prove after they failed to live up to expectation in Round 1 and while they can perform better in this one, it is tough to oppose the Storm.

TIP: MELBOURNE STORM TO WIN
