These two nations clearly have very little between them and that was on full view in the second of five T20i matches. New Zealand posted 207/5 and despite an excellent effort chasing from West Indies, the Black Caps held on to win by just three runs in a game that went right to the wire. West Indies’ batting depth almost proved decisive, but New Zealand managed to edge it.

That result sets up this third game beautifully, with a result very difficult to call. New Zealand will need to try and replicate their showing with the bat in the last T20i but that won’t be easy against this battle-hardened Windies side. West Indies you feel may be slightly more reliable from a batting point of view when considering the vast T20 experience at the highest level within their team. With little to choose between the sides, there is more value in backing the tourists.
