With the series wrapped up, New Zealand could sweep England in Wellington and further extend the tourists’ utter misery in ODI cricket over the past 12 months or so.

Date/time:

Venue: Sky Stadium, Wellington, New Zealand

Weather: Dry and sunny with temperatures of around 14c-16c.

How to watch: UK – TNT Sports / USA – Willow TV

New Zealand vs England prediction

Another abject showing from England in 50-over-cricket saw them lose the second ODI to New Zealand and with that, the series as only one game remains and the Blacks Caps boast a 2-0 lead. This time, England were dismissed for just 175 batting first as not a single player of theirs recorded a half-century. Such a miserly total was chased down in just 33.1 overs by New Zealand.

The hosts are simply a better ODI team with players far better at pacing themselves in this form of the game and accumulating a good score rather than throwing things away. England’s experiment of Jamie Smith at the top of the order has failed miserably, whilst key batter Jos Buttler being dismissed for consecutive single-figure-scores hasn’t helped matters. New Zealand will be expected to make it 3-0 when taking into account just how underwhelming England have been.
