New South Wales Blues vs Queensland Maroons prediction

This match is the ultimate test of nerve, with the New South Wales Blues aiming to secure back-to-back series wins on home soil against a Queensland Maroons side fired up by an inspirational comeback and some bold selection calls.

The series is locked at 1-1, setting up a blockbuster decider. The NSW Blues claimed a dominant 18-6 victory in Game 1 in Brisbane but were ambushed in Perth, going down 26-24 after giving Queensland a huge lead and almost running them down late.

The Queensland Maroons bounced back from their opening loss with a resilient victory in Game 2. After a blistering first half, they withstood a fierce Blues comeback to keep the series alive.

Queensland flyer Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has an incredible strike rate, with 11 tries in his 9 Origin appearances. He moves to his preferred fullback position for the first time in a decider.

NSW winger Brian To'o has been a constant threat, scoring a hat-trick in the Game 2 loss and consistently providing his team with crucial momentum to start their sets.

Since the concept began, Queensland has a clear advantage, winning 24 series to New South Wales' 17. The Blues, however, were victorious in the 2024 series. The Maroons have a formidable record in deciders, winning seven of the last nine.

This is more than just a decider; it's a classic battle between the Blues' structure and talent versus the Maroons' trademark spirit and belief.
