NASSOURDINE IMAVOV: NUMBER FOUR IN THE WORLD LOOKS TO GET IN TITLE SHOT CONTENTION
Nassourdine Imavov (14-4 with one no contest) has been making plenty of noise in the middleweight division and this is a golden opportunity for him to put himself firmly in contention for a title shot. His dominant TKO win over Jared Cannonier last time out was particularly impressive and another win against a top ten opponent will surely edge him closer to a title shot. His only defeat in the last three years came in the light heavyweight division on points against Sean Strickland. Otherwise, he has been on a tear and he will be desperate to maintain this momentum in the city where he fights out of.
BRENDAN ALLEN: BIG OPPORTUNITY FOR SURGING ALLEN
28-year-old American Brendan Allen has been working his way up the middle weight rankings in the UFC thanks for an impressive seven-fight win streak. Allen Was handed an opportunity to face Marvin Vettori at UFC Fight Night 240 but his opponent was forced to withdraw through injury so Allen took on a rematch against Chris Curtis and he won via split decision. The submission specialist will need to raise his game against the surging Imavov.
NASSOURDINE IMAVOV VS BRENDAN ALLEN PREDICTION
The winner of this fight in the UFC's middleweight division will close in on a title shot so there is plenty on the line in this fight.
Imavov is a talented fighter and yet another one that has come from Dagestan. He fights out of Paris so he will have plenty of home support against the American Allen.
The victory last time out against Cannonier made everybody sit up and take notice of Imavov. A win here puts him firmly in title shot contention and given his all-round skill set, we further him to be too strong for Allen.
PREDICTION: NASSOURDINE IMAVOV TO WIN
