Fighting out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, John Castaneda (19-5) will be heading into this weekend’s showdown full of confidence. Currently 3-2 in his last five professional outings, Castaneda has won his last two fights. Coming off of a win against Miles Johns, Castaneda will be looking to pick up his third consecutive win at UFC Vegas 61.
As for Castaneda’s opponent this weekend, Daniel Santos (9-2) will be desperate to get back in the win column this weekend. Heading into this weekend’s catchweight bout, despite Santos having the slight height advantage, Castaneda will have the edge in the reach department.
From the off, we have seen that both Castaneda and Santos like to be aggressive. With that being said, when the fight slows down and progresses into the later rounds, we have seen that Santos ends up taking a lot of damage. It is likely that this fight will take place on the feet throughout the proceedings.
