Whilst Manchester Originals may be seen as the ‘flashier’ team on paper with players such as Jos Buttler and Heinrich Klaasen within their ranks, big hitters capable of accumulating runs at a sky-high pace, Southern Brave have perhaps the more reliable performers. James Vince for example, is far less ‘boom and bust’ and the kind of batter who will consistently churn out runs.

The Brave were hit by the withdrawal of Faf du Plessis through injury pre-tournament and it’s going to be really difficult for them to replace his output in the short term.
