Man City preview: Improvement against Palace
Manchester City started the season with a 3-0 loss to Arsenal in the Community Shield before then snatching a late 2-1 win against AFC Bournemouth. They were much-improved in their 4-1 hammering of Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park last week.
The Cityzens have since finished the summer transfer window with a bit of a spending spree, bringing in young Brazilian winger Allan before the big money signings of Iliman Ndiaye and Enzo Fernandez on ‘deadline day’.
Coventry preview: Tough start
Frank Lampard and his Coventry City side have endured a tough start to their return to the Premier League as The Sky Blues begin the season with back-to-back losses – the second of which may ring alarm bells.
Coventry were beaten 3-0 by champions Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium – a forgivable result. They then, though, succumbed to a 1-0 loss at home to a Hull City side that finished over 20 points below them in the Championship last season.

Man City vs Coventry prediction
Coventry will believe they are getting their hardest games of the entire season out of the way in the opening three weeks of the campaign with trips to the Emirates and then the Etihad. However, it is providing them with a very slow and tough start if you mix that in with losses to teams where they may view the game as ‘must win’. The hosts found fluency last week and will be expected to flex their muscles once again.
