Leeds preview: Strong start
Leeds United comfortably survived relegation last season in the Premier League after they had gained promotion from the Championship in the 2024-25 campaign – and they will be expecting to kick on again this season.
The hosts began their season with a late victory against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground before repeating that, albeit with a 2-0 win this time around, in the second round of the EFL Cup in midweek.
Brentford preview: Buzzing Bees
Many may have expected Brentford to struggle last season after so much change at the club but Keith Andrews managed to again ensure they finished firmly in the middle-of-the-table before a brilliant start to this campaign.
Their 6-1 demolition of Birmingham City in the second round of the EFL Cup in midweek came a few days after The Bees had hammered London rivals Tottenham Hotspur by three goals to nil on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.

Leeds vs Brentford prediction
Leeds switched to a back three system mid-way through last season and it made them extremely difficult to beat – and that is expected to continue, especially with home advantage. Brentford head up to Yorkshire with a direct approach that excels on quick counter-attacks and from set-pieces but that is perhaps something that Leeds should nullify and so a low-scoring clash seems a decent bet for this one on Sunday.
Leeds vs Brentford tip: Under 3.5 goals
