Kyren Wilson vs Stan Moody prediction

2024 world champion Kyren Wilson comes into the Crucible as the second seed after a somewhat strange year which has seen him struggle to make much of an impact in the ranking events.

Contrary to that, though, is his title success in the invitational Masters and Shanghai Masters tournaments, and should he find his top gear in Sheffield, he is more than capable of going all the way again.

His opponent is one of the brightest young stars in the game, with 19-year-old Stan Moody set to make his much-anticipated World Championship debut after he came through two rounds of qualifying, just edging out China's Jiang Jun 10-9 in the deciding match.

Moody reached his first quarter-finals on tour this season, with last-eight appearances in both the Wuhan Open and British Open, and is clearly a growing force in the sport.

While there may be some nerves at play for the youngster on his Crucible bow, we think he is capable of covering a +3.5 frames handicap against the 2024 champion.
