Jaffna Kings vs Galle Gallants prediction
Galle Gallants had the better of Jaffna Kings over the course of the league stage, winning both games between the pair. But Jaffna improved as the competition went on and entered the playoffs as the form side, beating Galle in the first qualifier to seal their place in the final. The Gallants joined them on Friday with a six-wicket win over Colombo Kaps, setting up this final encounter.
Since midway through the league stage, Jaffna Kings have been unstoppable, winning each of their last four completed games with the fifth being washed out halfway through. They’ve piled up 199 runs or more in each of their last four innings with the bat and such firepower is unlikely to be contained by Galle. The Gallants are no mugs when it comes to batting themselves but this Jaffna train has shown no signs of derailing and backing them to go all the way and win the trophy has to be favoured.
