India vs USA prediction

Defending champions India head into the tournament as favourites to go back-to-back, especially with home advantage being in their favour throughout. They’ve got the squad to do it, plenty of runs, wickets and world class players whether it be Suryakumar Yadav with the bat or Jasprit Bumrah with the ball to name just two superstars.

USA made headlines back in 2024 T20 World Cup when they stunned Pakistan in New York, winning a Super Over in the group stage. Aaron Jones was one of their heroes that day, but the big-hitting batter who captained USA at that tournament has been suspended after being hit with a charge by the ICC for five breaches of the Anti-Corruption code. No doubt this has cast a dark cloud over their preparations, although India will still be expected to dominate proceedings here.

On the back of a century against New Zealand, expect Ishan Kishan to back that knock up with another strong score and also look at spin-bowler Varun Chakravarthy, who has the skills to really bamboozle the USA batters on a potentially friendly Mumbai surface.
